Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural component already found in our skin that depletes as we age. HA keeps the skin plump and hydrated by replacing soft-tissue volume loss. The good news is that dermal filler injections can replenish HA and restore volume and fullness to areas of the face. At Dixi’s MediSpa, we only use FDA-approved dermal fillers to provide volume and hydrate your lips.
Lip filler restores volume, provides hydration, improves asymmetry, and enhances your natural lip shape. Restore harmony and balance to your profile by considering lip + chin combo!
Cheek filler is used to define the cheeks by restoring volume and adding support and lift in your midface, which helps reduce nasolabial folds and improve the under eyes (tear troughs). Strategically placed filler will result in a natural and refreshed look, taking years off!
Chin filler is used to correct mild to moderate chin retrusion by improving the chin’s shape, tightening the surrounding skin area, and helping define and balance the lower third of the face.
Jawline filler is used to sculpt a more defined jawline and side profile, disguise the appearance of jowls, or improve a weak or narrow jawline. The jawline is important, to create facial balance and frame the face. A well-contoured jawline is desirable for both men and women alike!
Nasolabial folds (Smile/laugh lines)
Filler is used to soften the appearance of the nasolabial folds. These lines or deep wrinkles extend from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth. It is normal to have these lines but can deepen as we age. The goal is to soften these lines, not erase them!
Marionette lines (Puppet lines)
Filler is used to restore volume and smooth marionette lines. These are the creases that extend from the corners of your mouth to your chin. This can be done in combination with chin augmentation.
Unhappy with previous work, consider dissolving your filler. You may choose to dissolve because of visible lumps/bumps, migration of filler, or to start with a clean slate. Dissolver works against hyaluronic acid (filler). Multiple sessions may be needed.
Benefits of dermal fillers include:
Dermal Fillers also raise scar depressions to improve their appearance. Results are temporary,
lasting approximately six to twelve months or longer before the body slowly breaks down the filler.
You’ll enjoy immediate results without any downtime!
Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid-based products. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a molecule found naturally that plumps and hydrates the skin. Dermal fillers smooth wrinkles, add volume and hydration to the lips, replace volume loss on the cheeks, under-eye area, and temples, and create symmetry in the chin and jawline.
You may receive a topical anesthetic to numb the area before injection for added comfort. Many patients report slight discomfort while receiving injections, similar to a pinch or prick.
Results will appear immediately. Your provider will lend you a mirror to see your injection’s results before you leave. Swelling is almost immediate, so final results are generally revealed one to two weeks post-appointment after swelling has subsided.
Dermal fillers may last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. The duration depends on the area treated and the product used. Follow-up appointments will be required to maintain your look.
Swelling and mild bruising are likely to occur and may last a week, depending on your body’s response to treatment and the number of injection sites. Avoid exercise 24 hours after your injections. However, you can resume all other activities!
